Why I Had To Develop The Wedding Planning Process!

I know there is a need for this and I believe I can help others. 

Most couples feel overwhelmed with planning their wedding because they are unsure of where to begin, afraid of picking the wrong vendors and they want everyone around them to love everything about their wedding. Sound familiar? 

I began planning weddings over twenty years ago. Through the years, I have had some big wins and some unfortunate losses. It hasn't always been perfect, the way some people envision how awesome it must be to be a wedding planner. It isn't always awesome. It is an incredibly hard job. It's actually ranked as one of the top 5 most stressful careers.  

I don't want you to make the mistakes I made and I believe I can help you. 

Through the years of planning weddings, I have developed a process to planning a wedding. It's mine, I own it. And, the best part, it works, and I'm sharing it with you. When I am meeting with a client, they always say a few things to me. 

"I don't know how you do what you do."

"You are so calm." 

"Thank you for calming me down. I feel so much better after talking with you." 

It isn't that I'm necessarily a calm person, it's just that I know how to plan weddings. While I have the skills needed to plan weddings, the most important thing I have is perspective.  Ironically, I'm a wedding planner, and I got divorced. God really does have a sense of humor. My process to planning weddings is rooted in one main principle. At the end of the day, you will be married and that's what's most important. 

Planning your wedding doesn't have to be stressful if you are following my process to planning a wedding and maintain perspective through the process to planning your wedding. It's just that simple. Oh, and I throw in a lot of "experience" in there too. 

When Covid hit, professionals in the wedding industry were forced to pivot. If I heard the word "pivot" one more time, I was going to lose it on someone. (and I'm a calm person) I didn't know how to pivot the only thing I have known how to do professionally...plan weddings. 

As a verb, pivot means to turn another direction. That was what I was most scared about. I didn't have another direction to turn. But as a noun, pivot is the central point on which something turns.  Now that one I could get. 

The central point of me is that I love serving others. It's my superpower. So, when I couldn't physically produce weddings, my pivot became teaching others how to do it themselves, the way I would do it. A way that works. 

So, I set out on a mission:

To help as many couples as I can plan one of the most important days of their life. A day that will determine, the rest of your life. (and potentially your children's lives) Your wedding day should be one of the most joyous days and my job is to teach you how to have that day filled with joy and a dose of perspective along the way.

And that’s when this process was born!
